Bio

Christie Lyday is the author of the Black Heart and Cajun Acquisitions series. In most of her novels, rural living, involvement with horses, or the military are just a few of her pivotal story lines.


She gained her knowledge of horses by first-hand experience when she started riding at the tender age of three. Since then, she has exhibited her horses across the country. One of her stallions trained in reining and roping was flown to Caracas, Venezuela where he lived out the remainder of his life as a reined cow horse and sire.

Her experience with the military has been second nature as well. As a young wife of a soldier and later the mother of two sailors, the sister of a Marine, along with various other family members who serve, she’s gained valuable insights into military life, a strong sense of patriotism, as well as honor and respect for those who serve.
